Customer Service (Purchasing & Distribution)

Tell us about your current role at Plumbing World – what is it that you do and what does your typical day look like? Every day is always challenging.  However we strive and focus on giving all branches (our number ONE customer) the best customer service and support it requires.  i.e.  Responding to all email & phone call queries immediately.  Updating order deliveries (including Transport transit consignments) also following up on back order ETA’s. Processing of warranties and service request.  Conducting Health & Safety Inductions e.g. staff, visitors and contractors.  Reporting on daily incident e.g. near misses, hazards and other Health & Safety responsibilities also assisting with Account invoices queries, e.g. GL coding of site invoices and etc. What is your favourite part of your role? Knowing that a concerned or worried customer e.g. customer with a problem toilet, shower or faulty tap is happy and satisfied, their problem is sorted ASAP and we look after the labour charge.  This ensures our customers TRUST in the QUALITY OF OUR Product and Service. What advice do you have for someone who wants to do a similar role to you? Always greet with a smile, a simple sorry and thank you can usually make a positive difference. Focus on a can do attitude, even if you’re not sure what to do, apply humour within the team and always treat people with up most respect. Tell us about your career in Plumbing World Started in CDF Inwards Goods then moved to Administration Assistant, then to Procurement Administration Assistant, then to Trade Counter Sales, then to Customer Service and now - Customer Service (Purchasing & Distribution Centre). Why do you love working at Plumbing World? I love the fact that the culture of our business revolves around Health & Safety. It demonstrates a love and caring heart, after all the no 1 asset of our business is the people (our staff) as well as our community (PWL Customers) as a whole. I love that our staff are engaged in health & safety activities. Training and continuously involving in sharing freely on ideas and issues that are important in regards to the day to day business. This encourages and improvers our skills, safe work place as well as highlighting the quality and safety of our product.  It's good knowing that while our team may have numerous challenging tasks each day at the we can still greet with a hug, share laughter, share a meal now and again and above all, still have fun and at the end of the day we all head home peacefully, safely and look forward to another new day.
