Tell us about your current role at Plumbing World – what is it that you do and what does your typical day look like? A typical day starts at 7am opening the store and serving on the trade counter for the first two hours. It has always been part of the culture here that we are part of the morning chats with the plumbers. Followed by admin duties and making of any appointments for the day. Back on to the counter over lunch and into the afternoon. Any day could have me lunching with shareholders or unloading a truck in the doc-way. What is your favourite part of your role? My customers, my team and the family environment that we have built over the past 19 years. Your job is easy if you love what you do! What advice do you have for someone who wants to do a similar role to you? Advice for an up an coming manager: We are a co-op so look at what that means , it is so much more than just providing exceptional service. It is like being the head of you family. Tell us about your career in Plumbing World: I joined PWL in 1999 and have done every role in the branch. I have covered various roles outside of the branch and have traveled to other places in the country to cover where needed, I have been well educated in house with several years of interpersonal training and specialized management training. Why do you love working at Plumbing World? This is my work family and the values reflect in what we do.
